Gayle Sheahan
/CFNA Health & Wellness Coordinator
Please join us in welcoming Gayle to Christian Friends of New Americans.
As the new Coordinator for the CFNA Health and Wellness Ministry, Gayle has said “yes” to multiple responsibilities having to do with the coordination of this significant CFNA ministry. These monthly screenings at the Peace Center require the services of a sufficient number of volunteers as well as translators, not to mention the availability of medical supplies, follow-up medical visits and more.
Gayle grew up on East Moline, IL, the second of six children. She moved to St. Louis as a young adult where she met her husband, Terry. Employment took them first to California, then to North Carolina, Georgia, Ohio and back again to St. Louis. It was while she was in Ohio as a member of the Karl Road Baptist Church that she became passionate about missions. In addition to serving as a member of their mission board, she also served on mission projects in Thailand, Panama and the Dominican Republic.
Three years ago, Terry passed away and Gayle now lives in Arnold with her son Spencer. Another son Cameron, lives with his wife and one child in Columbus, Ohio. She holds a BSN degree from St. Louis university and serves as a substitute school nurse for the Festus R-V1 school district.
She is also an active member of Faith Lutheran Church, Oakville where she became aware of CFNA through the efforts of Rev. Bradon Boos. Her favorite Bible verse is Matthew 6:34, “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for today is its own trouble.”
Again, please join us in welcoming Gayle Sheahan to CFNA!!
