Volunteer Corner
/Drivers and driving teachers needed!
Looking for a way to get involved with CFNA? One current need is for volunteer drivers. Opportunities exist to take people to medical and other appointments as well as to places like the grocery store. Some of these opportunities are scheduled, some are more last minute. All involve being a friend to a New American!
We are also in need of drivers to take people to and from CFNA programming at the Peace Center, 4019 S. Grand Blvd, 63118, and other off-site CFNA events. These opportunities are scheduled and can become a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly opportunity, while some are one-time events.
Finally, we are also teaching driving! Volunteers go with a permitted driver on the road to teach driving. The refugee will have a permit, as well as their own car and insurance. The lessons start from the Peace Center.
