Employment Support Program

Helps New Friends Find Jobs

Philibs Ali

CFNA’s newly launched Employment Support Program is showing results for some of our New Friends who have registered with the program. This month, Mr. Philibs Ali from Sudan began his new job at Crestwood, MO, based Accent Group Solutions. Mr. Ali performs a variety of duties at Accent Group and is adapting well and making friends in his first weeks on the job. He is already contributing to the Accent Group team which provides large-scale printing solutions and effective distribution services.

Mr. Ali, pictured here, is a hard-working Christian family man who has settled in St. Louis after arriving here in 2022 from his native Sudan, by way of Egypt. He is happy to be working. “It is important to work hard to provide for my family,” Mr. Ali said.

Mr. Z. N.

Mr. Z. N., who settled in St. Louis in 2022 from Afghanistan, registered with the Employment Support Program, and began his new job in January. He is employed by Midland Optical, a St. Louis-based optical lab providing lenses and other optical products since 1955.  Mr. N. is learning a variety of jobs at Midland and is looking forward to mastering all of them. He said, “I want to learn quickly and become proficient at all of the functions I perform. I look forward to growing with this company.”

Mr. N. pictured here, and his family are acclimating to life in their new surroundings. They have explored parts of St. Louis and enjoyed Forest Park. “We will enjoy the experience of learning more about our new home,” said Mr. N..
