Welcome Alysia Longhenrich!

Alysia Longhenrich

I was born and raised on the East Coast near New York City. While attending college my family moved to St. Louis. I joined them for summer and Christmas breaks and fell in love with the city. After graduating from the University of Connecticut with a degree in Clinical Laboratory Science I moved permanently to St Louis.

While working at my first job at St John’s hospital I met my husband to be, Mark. We have two daughters and are blessed to have two grandchildren. Spending time with them is one of my greatest pleasures.

I have worked at several hospitals over the years but spent the most time, 35 years, at Mercy Hospital. I retired in December 2021, with the intention of seeking opportunities to serve the Lord. A dear friend was working with a new immigrant family in the Friend a Family program and invited me to join her. Enjoying the time spent with the family led to seeking further involvement with CFNA and after speaking with Pastor Stanish, the position of Health and Wellness Coordinator was offered to me and I accepted.

In this position I hope to use my experience in the healthcare field to improve the health of our new refugees and immigrants. I have been so impressed with the courage of these wonderful people and have most enjoyed spending time with the new families, listening to their stories and learning about their culture.

Editor’s Note: Please join us in welcoming Alysia to CFNA. We wish her the very best as she continues to provide leadership for the Health and Wellness Screening ministry.
