Welcome Heather Bozarth!
/My name is Heather Bozarth. I am the communications associate for Christian Friends of New Americans (CFNA). I help with social media, email marketing, web design, and “prettyfying” documents. My husband James and I have been married for 13 years. We have three children. James is in his fourth year of study at Concordia Seminary in the Master of Divinity program. We really enjoy living in St. Louis. It is such a unique city! I am originally from Garden City, KS. I grew up in a non-denominational Christian household and became a member of the LCMS after marriage. I studied music at Cowley College and Wichita State University. After marriage, I became interested in web and graphic design and have been working in the field ever since. In my free time I enjoy painting, singing, taking walks with my family and/or camera, and reading.
I first became familiar with CFNA while working as a secretary at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Des Peres as they are a CFNA partner congregation. We had a baby while on vicarage in Columbus, IN, and after moving back to St. Louis for James’s final year, I was seeking part-time work I could do at home with her. Amelia Oesch, another seminary wife, and the coordinator for CFNA’s Friend a Family program, posted on the seminary women’s Facebook page about the communications associate position. I applied and have now been working for CFNA for a little over a month. It has been a great fit! I am thankful for this opportunity. It is a blessing to work for an organization doing such important work for the Kingdom of God. I look forward to seeing how CFNA continues to uphold its mission to connect with, assist, and witness to New Americans in the St. Louis area and beyond.
