Welcome, Paige Bernau

Please help CFNA welcome Paige Bernau as its new Health and Wellness Coordinator. Here is what she would like for you to know about herself and her work:

Paige Bernau

“My name is Paige Bernau, and am excited to serve as the new CFNA Health and Wellness Coordinator. My primary task will be to help coordinate the monthly Health and Wellness Clinics held at the Peace Center. Additionally, I am working with the CFNA team to connect clients with healthcare services in the greater St. Louis area as needed.

“My husband, Stephen, and I have been married for three years. He is a 7th grade homeroom teacher at Christ Community Lutheran School (CCLS) in Kirkwood. We moved to St. Louis from Milwaukee in 2021 after he accepted a call to CCLS. Additionally, my brother, Steve Miller, is a pastor at Messiah Lutheran Church in St. Louis. So, the move has had the added benefit of bringing some members of our family closer to each other. Together with our cat, Chandler, we have thoroughly enjoyed making St. Louis home!

“Currently, I am a Registered Nurse and work part-time at Saint Louis University’s Student Health Center. I am also in graduate school at the University of Missouri-St. Louis working towards a Doctorate in Nursing Practice with a Family Nurse Practitioner focus. Prior to our move, I worked as a Public Health Nurse after graduating in 2016 from Concordia University Wisconsin’s School of Nursing. Besides work, I enjoy reading, running, crocheting, and spending time with family.

“I first heard about CFNA after my husband and I became members at the Lutheran Church of Webster Gardens. Our church is very supportive of the ministries of CFNA. Jesus often met the immediate needs of people to demonstrate His love for them. CFNA’s ministries take the same approach--to spread the love of God through word and deed service among refugees.

“I began volunteering at the Health and Wellness clinics in 2022. Now, I am grateful for the opportunity to support this CFNA ministry in a greater capacity!”
