Rev. Dr. Douglas Rutt

We are pleased to welcome Rev. Dr. Douglas Rutt as a Board Member of Christian Friends of New Americans. Dr. Rutt, together with his wife Deborah and family, has long been engaged in mission-related service under the auspices of the Lutheran Church- Missouri Synod (LCMS) in a number of capacities; the first being as missionaries in Guatemala.

Fluent in Spanish, Dr. Rutt also served a number of years as the LCMS Area Secretary for Latin America. Additionally, he served with Lutheran Hour Ministries as the Executive Director for International Ministries and also with Concordia Seminary, Ft. Wayne, IN as Director for Distance Learning as well as the Supervisor for their Ph.D. Missiology program. Currently, Dr. Rutt serves as Provost at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis.

A member of St. Paul’s Des Peres Lutheran Church, Dr. Rutt has long advocated on behalf of mission outreach among New Americans and looks forward to lending his considerable experience and service to CFNA and its ministries.
