The inaugural Cycle for the City charity bike ride held on September 6th was a true success! The event was well-received by all who participated and accomplished its goal of bringing people together around the needs of the St. Louis community. In total, 74 riders and 21 volunteers came out to support the ride! Riders were as young as 11 years and as old as 77. The participating riders ranged in level from beginner to advanced competitor. It was a wonderful mix of people and backgrounds, all enjoying the bike ride routes that highlighted unique areas of St. Louis as well as several bike greenways.

The event benefited the work of three community organizations: Christian Friends of New Americans, Humanitri, and Lutheran Development Group. From volunteers to riders, the feedback received was positive and all enjoyed supporting this charity ride event.

Getting Ready

Getting Ready

The goal of the Cycle for the City event was to bring people together in fellowship through an activity they all enjoy — cycling. Moreover, events like this help us expand our understanding of what fellowship really means — coming together in unity to support the places and communities where we live, work, and play. It was a fantastic event and we are looking forward to continuing the work that was started this year with an annual bike ride! Please check www.cycleforthecity.org in the coming months for updates on the 2022 event!
