Rev. Matthew Clark

We are pleased to welcome Rev. Matt Clark as a Board Member of Christian Friends of New Americans.  Rev. Clark serves as the Senior Pastor of Ascension Lutheran Church and Word of Life Lutheran School.  He and his wife Lisa have two children; Noah, a student at Lutheran High School South and Anna, a student at Word of Life Lutheran School. 

While at Ascension, Rev. Clark has provided outstanding leadership for mission outreach among New Americans.  During his eight-year tenure, he has baptized more than 50 Nepali people into Christ’s family and membership in this congregation. 

Additionally, Rev. Clark serves as the LCMS Circuit Visitor for the St. Louis South City Circuit, as well as co-host of “Wrestling with the Basics” which airs at 9:05 on Saturday mornings on KFUO radio AM.  He also serves as a member of the Board of Trustees for the Lutheran High School Association of St. Louis and has been accepted into the Doctor of Ministry program at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis.
